A Gallery of Street Art in Lisbon
Lisbon wears its art on its walls.
Walking through Lisbon, it’s impossible not to stumble upon powerful works by some really creative street artists.
Here is the gallery from my Lisbon street art hunt through the city.
Exhibit 01 — Vhils x Shepard Fairey
Artist: Vhils (Alexandre Farto) and Shepard Fairey
Collab between two artists, one who uses a paint and the other chisels. This joint mural was definitely one of my favorites.
📍 Rua da Senhora da Glória 39, 1170-365 Lisboa, Portugal
Exhibit 02 — Two Maribou Storks
Artist: Bordalo II
Located right next to the Santa Justa lift. I was walking around at dusk when I found it randomly. This was where I learned about Bordalo II and how he uses recycled trash to make his street art.
📍 R. do Carmo 70, 1100-581 Lisboa, Portugal
Exhibit 03 — Half Young Panda
Artist: Bordalo II
A half panda that makes you ponder the cost of modern consumption.
📍 R. São Tomé 76, 1100-563 Lisboa, Portugal
Exhibit 04 — Big Raccoon
Artist: Bordalo II
The raccoon watches the street in Belem. Because the building where this piece was is set to be demolished, the piece has now been reinstalled as “Re-raccoon” and moved to Chelas, Lisbon in 2025. You can read more about it from this post here.
📍 moved to Chelas
Exhibit 05 — Poseidon
Artist: PichiAvo
We were in a car when I snapped this shot from the passenger window. It is located near the waterfront, which seemed like a fitting location for the Greek God of the Sea.
📍 Calçada de Santa Apolónia 65, 1100-468 Lisboa, Portugal
What are some of your favorite street art to see in Lisbon?
